some are not antisocial enough

yesterday it was pretty cold, so i skipped soccer. robin let me use his typewriter and i typed some letters. they are boring. sorry to the people who will receive them. then megs and jen and i met at egan's to play trivia. we came in last place. but we DID have one of the youngest/smallest teams, and that affects things, i think. i mailed my cute crafts.

today was our first day of programming with kids. we had the kindergarteners/grade 1-ers from grouard. they were super cute. most of them are métis or treaty, but none of them really knows it. while we were walking down to the village, one of the little girls said, "i'm not afraid of indians. i've seen one before." haha. i am trying to teach them to say, "first nation" or "aboriginal" or "indigenous" or even "native" instead. it's not working. another little boy had some slip-on shoes that had this graphic that was che guevara and a skull and crossbones together. i don't get it. i'll have to ask him about it. more little kids after lunch. my supervisor said she is really impressed with how i am with the kids. that is nice to hear, because i sure haven't felt confident about that for a while.
