a quick quick update:
sunday, march 1:
worked on my jackpine mine social impact assessment all day long. thought i had failed it.

monday, march 2:
worked at the school; didn't tutor cree. listened to someone from golder talk in my social impact assessment class, and considered trying to get a job doing impact assessments with them. went to the nina haggerty board meeting at 5. messed around on indesign when i got home.

tuesday, march 3:
class, worked at the school, didn't tutor cree. kim and bethany picked me up after class and we went and watched "the reader" at westmount. both the movie and the company were good.

wednesday, march 4:
went to my cree and educational information technology labs. worked at the school and tutored cree. went for supper at opa! on whyte with my sisters and my mom, and then went with my mom to kingsway. i bought a striped grey and white button-up shirt, a button-up vest, and some INCREDIBLY comfy soft-soled outdoor moccasins from soft moc. sometimes i can hardly handle how pseudo-injun i am. whatever. they're the most comfortable shoes i've ever owned, and they are dark dark brown suede. so they are not up in anybody's face. well, except for all that fringe.

thursday, march 5:
class, worked at the school. i didn't tutor cree, but i did meet my friend chris and he gave me his copy of the first brave saint saturn album (the version on my itunes is scratched, and i hardly listen to it anymore, but i still want to make sure i have a decent digital copy). it was nice to hang out because that was the last time i would see him before he moved to australia. after that, i had my evening class and then went over to natasha's to craft and watch "arrested development" with natasha and bethany and kim.

friday, march 6:
i tutored cree at 10, and my friend tina stopped by then to drop off her pictures for the cree book i am writing. i worked at the elementary school afterwards, and then spent the afternoon doing homework. bethany invited me out to see luke doucet, but i knew i just needed some time alone so i could save up a bunch of energy to get my homework done, so i declined. i stayed at home all night and watched "sex and the city" episodes on my computer while sewing the bodice of natasha's dress. i was up until 2.

saturday, march 7:
i watched some more "sex and the city" episodes, and then went to the farmers' market for vegetables. i tutored cree at 3, and spent the evening working on homework. i ended up not going to bed until 3. two nights in a row that i stayed up past 11! that's crazy!


sunday, march 8:
natasha came over at 1:30 to try on the bodice of her dress. i needed to make sure it fit before i worked on it any more. and it did! she took me over to flirt cupcakes afterwards, and then drove me home. i went over to cameron library to scan tina's duck pictures, as well as the two i had quilted. then i went to pita pit to pick up a pita for supper, and then to steeps to meet jessica. we walked back to jessica's house and drank tea and talked. we hardly ever do those things any more. i miss it. she is so great. i came home and worked on my presentation on aboriginal issues for my social impact assessment class.
