after working at the elementary school, tutoring cree, and going to my social impact assessment class, i spend the night working on my cree book.

wednesday, march 18:
i had a class sort of thing for the non-profit board internship program i'm doing through the u of a, from 8 until 10 a.m. i had to skip cree because of it. boo. then i worked on an assignment in my educational info. tech. class, and worked at the elementary school and tutored cree. but you don't want to hear about that, because you read about it every week. the difference about this week is what happened afterwards. levi was in town. during the late part of winter, he travels with his father and two of his cousins, selling merch at the oldtimers' hockey games and then auctioning off autographed items after the game. apparently it's pretty lucrative. so the game that night was in edmonton, and i took the LRT over to rexall around 7:30, after working on my cree. levi had left me a ticket at the will-call booth, and while i don't really like hockey or hockey crowds, i DO have some weird appreciation for rexall place's burgers. ew, huh? so i took the free ticket and met levi at his booth, and after eating two hamburgers and walking around for a bit, i sat with levi and talked and sold stuff to hockey fans. then levi was supposed to work an auction with his dad afterwards, but apparently it was going kind of slow, so his dad let him take the night off. nice! we drove to my apartment in his rented car and dropped off a few things. we were feeling restless so we went for a long walk across high level bridge and then around the legislature. i don't remember what happened after that. ha.

thursday, march 19:
before my cree class, i went to the SUB print shop and printed off one copy of my cree book to hand in as my cree assignment. i showed it to my instructor and her assistant, and it seemed like they both really loved it. when i got home from class, levi left to red deer for the hockey game there and i went to work at the elementary school. i went to the rest of my classes and tutored cree in the afternoon. i stayed at home all night and levi stayed over when he got back from red deer. the company was nice.

friday, march 20:
i got up early to print off my cree books at SUB. i printed off 8 copies - one for each of the artists who helped me with my book, one for myself, one for my mom, and one for lee, the lady i've lived with in sucker creek for the three summers i was up there. i took one of the books to joel because he was nearby, and then tutored cree for an hour. i also worked at the elementary school. in the evening, my family went to the jubilee auditorium to watch alyssa perform her last show with shumka for their 50th anniversary. i'm not shumka's biggest fan, but some of the dances were pretty fun. i liked a hutzul one where the men all pretended to be chopping down a tree. after the show emily, my parents and i went for a late supper at boston pizza. usually i don't like that place so much, but i was starving and it was all delish. oh, and levi went to grande prairie early that morning.

saturday, march 21:
i tutored cree for an hour in the afternoon. jordan picked me up from tutoring and drove me home so he could get the .pdf file of my ducks book off of my computer and onto his USB key. he stayed for tea and then went home.

sunday, march 22:
i tutored cree again for an hour and a half, and then met emily at remedy for supper. tandoori chicken wraps, mmhmm.
