so red the recon of caylie
we (YLP) might be hosting a valentine's day dinner next week, where we would have to be servers and stuff like that and therefore dress in red or white. i have no red or white clothes here, so when i was in g-town on the weekend, i bought a 4XL "air jordan" t-shirt (i know, lame, but it was the nicest shade of red i could find) to recon into a cute dress. i cut it up and sewed it yesterday - by hand! - and i'm really excited about it. but... apparently, there's this guy around here named charles who goes crazy every february (yeah, i don't know...), and apparently he gets really mad if people wear red. i hope he's not around next week so i can wear my shirt-dress. i will try to post a picture soon. try to ignore the lameness of the air jorden-ness. that's the charm of reconned clothes, i guess. turning lameness into cuteness.

air jordan...nice. I can't wait to see it
i kind of like it, actually. it's just a silver silkscreen, so if you don't really pay attention to what the design is, it just reflects light nicely. i thought about making a patch with the leftover red material and some bleach (we have pretty limited materials here - i wanted to write a line from either e.e. cummings or lauryn hill), but i think i'll leave it for now.
I should be wearing a lot more 90's era Air-Jordan clothing around the house...
