sunned-eh.
i crocheted some mittens for kaylin. i drove myself to the lake and sat on a bench on the beach. i was the only person in the park, i think. there were no cars in the parking lot and no people on the trails or on the beach. so rad. i read a bit of "dreams from my father" by barack obama. i walked on the trail and off the trail in the forest. i yelled a bit so the bears would know i was coming and not be surprised by me and try to eat me. i like making noise in the forest and i like being quiet in the forest. i think i am going to try to go out there more often this year. i bet erin will be up for it. we can sling up my hammocks and make a fire and cook bannock and meat and play barefoot and swim and read. it will be so good.
i drove home and ironed some material that i am going to sew. i found a mouse in a mousetrap in the sewing room. i was a little bit sad but a little bit glad that he will not be getting into my food. i ate some delicious tandoori chicken left over from friday or something, and marvelled at how awesome leftovers are. remember, guyana, no fridges? but here, you can eat the same thing you ate a few days ago! with no ants or salmonella! high fives! yeah. bedtime.
today i came into high prairie. i somehow didn't realize until saturday that my job starts tomorrow and not today. so i bought a new address book and some scrapbooking paper, and now i am going to go home and recover the book. i am a thrill a minute. also, i took out lee for lunch. hot date.
so tomorrow i start work, and i know two out of five of my other co-workers, and i bet the other three will be hot; long-haired; well-educated; creative; sensitive; athletic; balanced; culturally-, politically-, and socially-aware single cree boys between the ages of 22 and 28. yep. i'd bet money on it.
