take it to the bridge

on saturday emiline and i went to a beginner watercolor workshop at the paint spot on whyte ave. it was so, so good. infinitely better than the mixed media course i had taken at grant macewan. i think we had fun. hopefully i will get some time over christmas to practice my painting. i am sure it will never be any good, but at least i've learned to do something other than washes. we ate some lunch at opa on whyte, and then continued on with our class until 4:30. we got some hot chocolate at second cup, and then i drove us back to my house (i had driven to the paint spot in the morning, because i had planned to meet emily at my house at 9:30 that morning, but by 9:35 she had not shown up, so i called her and discovered that she had not woken up yet. to avoid being late myself, i drove down to whyte. eek).

after the workshop, i got ready for the rowing banquet. it actually ended up being pretty fun. i mostly hung out with claire, who is just becoming more and more awesome every day. we talked about our crushes, enjoyed some meat and potatoes and orange juice, and danced a lot. i have gone to two dance parties in two weeks. that is pretty amazing. plus i am hopefully going to one this weekend. i rule.

today i worked at the ledge from noon until 5. i started working on my native studies essay, but didn't get too far. mostly i worked on a presentation i am doing on button blankets on tuesday. i will write more about it after i present it. also i watched some degrassi, and talked to erica on the phone about crushes and to kelsey about mix tapes and this weekend.
