on wednesday night i went to ballroom dancing class, but i only stayed for about 45 minutes. i danced with a boy i have a kind-of crush on. it is not an actual crush, it's more like just something to pass time and get excited about when i see him in the hallways at school. like my josh hartnett crush. not a real crush, just something to keep my mind busy. i went home early to do something. read, maybe? yeah, i think that was it. i need to read a big book for an essay exam on tuesday. no, wait, i remember. i went home early because i had to go work at the casino again for rowing. again, my shift was 9:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. i knew from the night before that bringing homework was useless, because it was hard to concentrate in the volunteer room, so instead i brought a bunch of crafting supplies (glue stick, scissors, masking AND scotch tape, old maps and sewing patterns, thread, needles, yarn, crochet hooks, and wool felt). this girl erica from my rowing team, who is really crafty and is quickly becoming one of my favorite new people, and i made a big mess when we spread out all my crafting stuff over the volunteer room floor and started crafting. i made a really bitchin' postcard out of a map and a sewing pattern and its instructions.

i wrote some letters to some boys. i was going to make some patches out of wool felt, but i couldn't decide what to do. i've been kind of hung up on bison and moose(s?) and mammoths and ducks lately, and so i feel like i need to break away from that. working that night was good, and i'm really glad to have those volunteer hours dealt with so i don't have to worry about them next semester.
on thursday i went to all my classes and slept in between. i got my NS 210 exam back, and my prof had written something like, "instead of leaving questions blank, make sure to answer them next time, because i don't subtract wrong from right answers." i didn't really get what he was talking about, because i NEVER leave questions blank on exams, but then i figured it out. the exam booklet that i received to write the test was missing a whole page of questions. i told him what had happened, so he agreed that it was only fair to readjust my grade so it was more accurate. i ended up with a 94% instead of a 90%! woo!
on thursday i skipped my final mixed media course, because it has turned out to be sucky and i needed to get some reading done. it turns out that only one person in the entire class showed up that night. yikes. a pretty good indicator that the class was no good. boo. i had been so excited about it.
