yesterday YLP learned how to put on condoms using only our mouths. what kind of job do i have!?!

(it was part of our HIV/AIDS peer educator training. apparently sex trade workers need to know how to do that to secretly protect themselves from men who don't want to use condoms for oral sex. and we (well, the youth taking the program, and me, because i am in charge of my youth) needed to learn it so we can teach it to other youth in the rupununi, some of whom become sex trade workers out of necessity. which brings up a whole 'nother interesting discussion on job creation, economics, community development, etc., but i don't have time to write about it now because we are hosting an "appreciation night" in about an hour. it's a long discussion. i don't know if i'll ever have time to write about it. i will talk to you about it, though, if you are interested. just ask.)
